The new year is upon us, 2016. In order to make it the best year yet, I would recommend you implement one, small but hugely beneficial habit.
Each day, upon waking, ask yourself the following question:
“What would make today great?”
Write your answer down on a piece of paper. Put this piece of paper in your pocket, next to your phone. This will ensure that you see constantly throughout the day. The more you are reminded about it, the easier it will be to get it done.
Do you have to write it down?
Yes. There is something about the process of writing that helps things come to be. You must right it down.
Another perk of this habit is that it will organically establish your bedtime.
Your day is not over until you have completed your task. I’m not asking you to move mountains every day. Rather, I’m asking you to move a piece of the mountain everyday. Eventually, the mountain will have been moved.
So, to keep this short:
1. Wake up
2. Write down ONE thing that will make the day great
3. Don’t go to sleep until you have it accomplished.
If you do this for 365 days, I’ll guarantee you’ll make 2016 the best year yet.
Happy New Year
