True Transparency

Just like my good friends over at (affiliate link) NutraBio Labs, here at NickLaToof.com we believe that readers and visitors all deserve to know the truth.

You won’t find any gimmicks or misleading info here. In the internet world, the truth is hard to come by. When you visit NickLaToof.com, you should be confident that the information is truthful and shared with the best of intentions.

This site is not primarily financially driven. In fact, ALL content is now free to everybody. However, a guy’s gotta eat, right?!

So, I have teamed up with a few companies that I believe in and trust. From time to time, they will reimburse me with free product or real monies. Either way, it makes me pretty happy.

BUT, it doesn’t make the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) over-joyed. In December of 2009, the FTC required bloggers to disclose when there could be any hidden interests or unspoken biases related to recommendations. So, here goes…

First, my guiding services earn me a bit of money, although not near as much as I would like. These services are open to everyone and vary based on location and time of year. For the most up to date list of services I’m currently offer, it’s best to email me: nick@ltfguides.com.

Second, Per the FTC rules, if I interview someone and they grab the bill for lunch, I would need to disclose this. Ditto if I use an Amazon link that gets me 8 cents instead of an Amazon link that gets me 0 cents. If someone gives me a comfy t-shirt with a logo and I wear it in a photo, same deal. Disclaimers all over the place. This would be tedious for me and even more tedious for readers. But rules is rules. To cover my ass and preserve your reading experience, please assume that, for every link and product I use, the following all hold true:

Please feel free to use the text and images on this page with proper attribution. There is no reason why each blogger should have to reinvent the wheel. [Thanks Tim Ferriss]

Currently, I have no affiliations; however, I am considered a PRO account with the following brands. They give me greater discounts on gear in exchange for content creation on my social channels and occasionally on my personal website. [Please, keep in mind that these things come and go quite frequently and the below list may not be the most up to date. This page was last updated 5/23/2023]

LidRig – Best Nippers System Out There
Stio – Mountain Gear for Mountain Folk
