I wanted to share just a quick little excerpt from my journal this morning. It’s a simple message that I’ll carry with me today and hopefully everyday! I hope you carry it with you, and that it helps your day go a bit smoother!
I believe it’s important to take self-inventory, stop and take notice of what we’re currently doing and maybe revisit the recent past. It’s not important that we dwell on the mistakes and shortcomings but it is imperative that we learn from them and do our best not to repeat them.
Every day has the potential to teach us things. If we are open to learning, our experiences can teach us life lessons that carry over to every other part of life. This past weekend I had one of those experiences.

We humans are piss poor when it comes to expectations. I know I sure am. But, as it relates to me, I’m bad about over-estimating my own abilities and therefore, setting expectations incredibly too high. And, while I believe you should aim high, there is a point of diminishing returns. (more…)
As a young, crazy ambitious dude, I have found myself in quite the predicaments, from time to time. Overall, I am happy with my progress and accomplishments but there is one nasty habit, that it’s taken me a while to rid of.
From time to time, we all can get a bit out of sync. We’re human and it just happens. Typically, when that happens to me, there’s one principle that I’ve somehow neglected. Once I start back implementing it, everything else seems to fall back into place as well. (more…)
