My pledge for the summer and an opportunity for you to win some money?!?!

Summer is pretty much here for me. That means it’s time to put my head down and go to work. To catch up on what I’m doing this summer, click here. Other than that, I’m planning on pumping out a LOT of content: blogs, podcasts, and maybe a few videos.

While packing a few weeks ago, I stumbled upon some old general entries and such. It allowed me to see what I was thinking and feeling during those times. There is much to be learned about looking back, as long as we do it with the proper reasoning.

This coming fall I will be out in North Carolina and Tennessee beginning to shoot my documentary. A major theme of the documentary will be self-awareness and the value of outsiders perspective. It’s still very early and many of the themes won’t become evident until the project is much further along. But, more on that later.

This summer I will be podcasting and sharing some of these journal entries and expressing my thoughts on them. This will really allow me to get a bit organized for the beginning of shooting for the documentary but more importantly, I plan on learning as much about myself as possible.

Here’s where you come in!

In an attempt to keep myself accountable, I will give out $100 to the first person who catches me not posting at least one blog post and one podcast each week from May 12 to Sept 1. You can call me out via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or wherever you think I’ll be able to see it. Remember, it’s the first person to catch me! So, keep a close eye on me all summer.

Now, for a few rules.

Rules:

  1. Blogs must be 500 words or greater but can be about any subject. If I want to talk about how much I miss snowboarding, I can. And, you’ll like it. Or not. Regardless, I’m off the hook.
  2. Weeks start on Sunday and end on Saturday. As long as a blog and podcast are posted during the week, I am good.
  3. Podcast length must be at least 20 minutes. Having a guest is not necessary, as I will probably be reviewing old journal entries and notes.
  4. Exceptions – I am in Alaska where the wifi is not so good. If something were to happen preventing me from being able to post, I will be granted a grace period until the wifi is reconnected.

I think that about covers it for the rules. I’m planning on writing daily and sharing frequently. So, I wouldn’t get my hopes up, if I were you. I don’t plan on paying any of you suckers. But, if you do happen to fall into some luck, I’ll gladly fork over a crisp, invisible, internet Benjamin. I am a man of my word and will pay, if I slack off.

Here’s what you can expect for next week!
